Artichoke Dip
(á la Sung)
-sauteed onions and garlic
-steamed chopped spinach (3/4 of a bag)
-1 can artichokes
-1 cup mayo
-1 cup sour cream
-1 cup parm cheese
-1 cup monteray jack cheese or mexican mix w/o taco seasoning
Preheat oven 350deg
Mix all contents together
Bake for 20-30 minutes until top brown
Pancakes
(á la Lloyd's mom)
-1 1/4 cup flour
-1 tablespoon sugar
-3 teaspoons baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1 egg
-1 cup milk
-2 tablespoon cooking oil
-sliced bananas optional
Cook into small pancakes (fluffier and crispier)
Kashmiri Masala Chicken
(á la Lloyd's mom)
-400g chicken legs
-1 teaspoon Kashmiri Masala
-175g plain yogurt
-Salt
Marinate chicken 2 hours in masala/yogurt mix
Oven - broil, 2nd from top, 400 brown, 350 cool
Leek Soup
(á la Sabrina)
Boil 1 large leek (sliced), 2 shallots (sliced), and 3-4 potatoes
Add 3 big spoons of cream
Puree and add salt
Pumpkin Soup
(á la Joana)
Add Pumpkin, Potato, Onion, Carrots, etc. into boiling water
Puree and add salt and dash of olive oil
Chocolate Mousse
(á la Joana)
Ingredients
300 grams chocolate bar (darker is better)
300 grams sugar
300 grams butter (unsalted)
9 eggs (9 yolks, 5 whites)
Directions
1. Use mixer for sugar + yolks until very fluffy white cream
Melt butter + chocolate in microwave
Beat whites until stiff
Use mixer to add chocolate into yolk cream
Beat gently egg whites into chocolate mix
2. Place 1/2 mix into oven to bake in mold
3. Use remaining 1/2 mix to pour on top
Tiramisu
(á la Joana)
6 eggs
6 tablespoons of sugar
1 cup (8oz) of Mascarpone
1 pack of lady finger biscuits
1 mug of black coffee with whisky (or other licqueur)
Cocoa
Separate the egg whites and
yolks. Blend the yolks with the sugar until you have a very fine cream.
Blend in the mascarpone into a nice smooth cream.
Beat the whites of the egg until they are stiff.
Then gently (very genlty) blend the two things - the whites with the sugared
cream.
Soak the biscuits into the coffee and alternate layers of soaked biscuits with
the blended cream. The last layer is of cream and then sprinkle it with cocoa
